  • This walk starts on Midford Hill opposite the Hope & Anchor pub, by the Two Tunnels Greenway. Go down the steps onto the footpath.

  • Go under the old railway bridge which now holds the greenway. Then through a gate under the trees.

  • This will bring you out to a narrow path on what was the towpath of the old Somerset Coal Canal. Ahead left is the old Midford Aqueduct.

  • At the first small fork, head right to go down into the old canal basin and up the other side.
