  Step 1: Our walk starts at Dunbar Medical Centre. Turn left towards the town as you walk out of the car park.

• Step 2: If you look behind you, you will see Dunbar Parish Church marking the southern end of the town centre

• Step 3: We walk towards Church Street which, together with Castle Street forms the spine of the ancient burgh

• 

  Step 4: Cross the road at the pelican crossing and head to the start of Church Street

• 

  Step 5: There have been many changes over the years. What was this turret built for?

• 

  Step 6: This is now a private home but was built in 1822 as Dunbar’s Assembly Rooms boasting a ballroom and supper room.
