  Step 1: You can usually park along The Walls or jump on the train to Manningtree. The town runs along the River Stour.

  Step 2: Did you know Manningtree was shortlisted as one of the best towns in 2019? It’s also one of the smallest towns in the whole of the UK.

  Step 3: You should feel free to wander around this town as you wish! We only managed to explore for a hour.

• Step 4: Continue along the walls towards the town and head towards the High Street.

• 

  Step 5: The pavements are pretty small around here so watch your step. Bear right.

• 

  Step 6: The name Manningtree is thought to derive from 'many trees'. The building facades are of Georgian origin.
