• 

  Step 1: Park up right outside the grand main gates or take a short walk from the station.

• 

  Step 2: Make your way up the main path towards the Anglican chapel.

• 

  Step 3: The chapel is now in ruins but often holds exhibitions and events.

• 

  Step 4: Head right up the hill along the tree lined path. Keep an eye out for the magpies and Blackcaps in the trees.

• 

  Step 5: Turning right halfway up the hill you can go off the beaten track and go in between the trees.

• 

  Step 6: Continuing up the woodland path, passing the log stacks and stag beetle loggeries full of rich insect communities.
