Step 1: Start by Jack’s Hill car park, north side. A wide path starts at the end of the car park and this smaller path on a ridge is on the left.
Step 2: Both paths head in the same direction but you get a clearer view of the open areas to the left on the ridge.
Step 3: You’ll soon reach a junction of 2 bigger paths. Head straight over and onto the wider path.
Step 4: The path is pretty flat and shared by walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
Step 5: After a while you’ll reach this path on the left from which you can see part of the banks and the interpretation sign. Head in.
Step 6: Ambresbury Banks were built around 500BC and would have been built with wooden or bone tools. They were likely used as look out posts...
