  Step 1: This unlikely walking spot might not look like much from the bottom of the hill, but there are views and nature ahead of you.

• 

  Step 2: Start by heading up the zig zag path, taking you steadily up the mound.

• 

  Step 3: You will be zig zagging for a while, so I recommend you take your time to enjoy the plants and nature around you (and the dogs out walking!)

• 

  Step 4: Here, Teasels are in abundance! These spiny plants are thought to be partially carnivorous as they produce more seeds if they “eat” bugs.

• 

  Step 5: To the right of you, there is the remains of coastal industry in the form of old warehouses and factory buildings. Beautiful in its own way.

• 

  Step 6: Soon you reach the top of the hill and the Mersey is in view, along with a glimpse of the Liverpool city skyline.
