  Step 1: Start on the Public Bridleway at the back of Claremont Farm then cross the bridge across the M53

• 

  Step 2: Walk along Clatterbridge Road for a few hundred meters

• 

  Step 3: Cross a little bridge across Clatter Brook

• 

  Step 4: Cross the road when you reach the sign for Thornton Hough

• 

  Step 5: To the left of the entrance to Claire House Children‘s Hospice starts Thomas‘ path

• 

  Step 6: Follow the path to cross the field. Looking back, you ll see the Anglican Cathedral over in Liverpool
