Step 1: The walk starts from the free National Trust Cley Hill car park on the A362. There are often cows here grazing.
Step 2: Head through the gate away from the road to join the footpath.
Step 3: The gravel and mud track bends to the right and then the left.
Step 4: Head straight for the hill!
Step 5: At the end of the track head up the steps and through the kissing gate.
Step 6: Follow the path as it bends to the right.
