  Step 1: Start at the entrance to Troopers Hill Field from the bottom of Summerhill Terrace

• Step 2: If you choose to arrive at the start of the walk by public transport the closest train station is Lawrence Hill. With buses 37, 44 & 45 stopping nearby.

• 

  Step 3: Follow the path alongside the beech hedge to the right

• 

  Step 4: Continue round the Field on the tarmac track in an anti-clockwise direction

• 

  Step 5: Take the path to the right after the bench down the steps into the woods following the waymarkers towards Crews Hole

• 

  Step 6: Follow the way markers turning right on the main path
