The Runnymede area is a beautiful collection of riverside, meadow and woodland paths. Combine this with memorials and art, finish at a pub.

Step 1: Welcome to Egham Station. Our walk begins here, where you can catch Southwestern Railway trains between London Waterloo and Reading.
Step 2: On this walk, we'll be exploring the Runnymede National Trust site. It can be muddy in the winter, so wear comfortable waterproof shoes.
Step 3: When you're ready, let's head out! Exit through the ticket barriers and head over to the main road, Station Road. Turn right.
Step 4: Follow Station Road until the pedestrian light at Church Road. Cross over the road when safe to do so. Continue ahead.
Step 5: Pass straight through the pedestrianised plaza, walking towards the gorgeous Old Bank building straight ahead.
Step 6: Stop to admire the bank building. Thomas Ashby opened a bank in Staines in 1796 and a branch in Egham in 1866. Ornate engravings on the building show the dates of the Ashby bank's founding (1796) and a rebuild date of 1896.
