• Step 1: The tunnel was built in 1855 to allow horsedrawn carriages access to The Park Estate from Derby Road in Nottingham. Still in use today, providing pedestrian access from Derby Road, Upper College Street and The Ropewalk to the Estate.

• 

  Step 2: This walk starts from Derby Road. Follow the path straight ahead towards the flats.

• 

  Step 3: Continue towards the flats heading down into the parking area.

• 

  Step 4: Continue straight ahead through the parking area going down the steps.

• 

  Step 5: You are now in the tunnel. Stop to admire the impressive structure. When ready continue straight ahead.

• 

  Step 6: Continue straight ahead. If you wish to explore the steps on the left go up to the Ropewalk.
