  Step 1: This walk starts outside Malmaison hotel, 7 William Jessop Way, Liverpool L3 1QZ. There’s Liverpool Waters long stay car park & local buses.

• 

  Step 2: With your back to Malmaison, continue left with the dock on your right hand side. Follow the path around as it bears right.

• 

  Step 3: Continue left to walk along the tree-lined street.

• 

  Step 4: Just up ahead are your first views of the iconic Royal Liver Building. Continue ahead.

• 

  Step 5: To your right you’ll find the ‘Memorial to Heroes of the Marine Engine Room’ here on Pier Head.

• Step 6: The memorial originally commemorated the 32 engineers who lost their lives in the sinking of Titanic on 15 April 1912. Due to heavy losses in World War II the memorial’s dedication broadened to commemorate all maritime…
