Step 1: A Wild Ways Well wellbeing in nature walk from St John's Hospital to Howden Walled Garden
Step 2: This walk was created by volunteers from TCV's Wild Ways Well group in Livingston. This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the NHS Lothian charity.
Step 3: Research shows that spending time interacting with nature like this can help anyone live a happier, healthier, life. Wild Ways Well (WWW) combines the power of nature with a mental health framework called the Five Ways to Wellbeing (5WW).
Step 4: You can find out more about Wild Ways Well and the Five Ways to Wellbeing by checking out the NHS Lothian Charity website www.greenhealth.nhslothiancharity.org/about-green-health/grounds-for-health/wild-ways-well-livingston/
Step 5: There are many reasons people come to St John's but for lots of people their visit will be stressful and it can have a negative impact on people's thoughts, moods and wellbeing. One of the best ways to boost your wellbeing is to walk.
Step 6: Start your walk at the main entrance to St John's. We'll be heading straight ahead, across the road and up the hill for this first stretch.
