  Step 1: The walk starts at Howden Walled Garden. This is a public park owned by West Lothian Council and is free to enter - just open the gate!

• Step 2: The Tree Trail was set up by volunteers from TCV's Wild Ways Well group in Livingston. This project is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the NHS Lothian Charity.

• Step 3: Research shows spending time interacting with nature like this can help anyone live a happier, healthier, life. Wild Ways Well (WWW) combines the power of nature with a mental health framework called the Five Ways to Wellbeing (5WW).

• Step 4: You can find out more about Wild Ways Well, and the Five Ways to Wellbeing by checking out the TCV Scotland and NHS Lothian Charity's websites.

• 

  Step 5: On with the walk! Before you start don't forget to check the notice board to see what else is going on!

  Step 6: Turn left (east) as you come out of the garden and follow the trail
