Step 1: I started from this bus stop: the town circular and the 109 to Macclesfield stop here.
Step 2: Walk away from town along Westwood Road. Some houses have privet hedges: great habitat for small birds and insects.
Step 3: Cross over to the rec and notice cherry trees: fantastic pink.blossom in spring.
Step 4: Some lush moss on the trunk.of a lime tree.
Step 5: Dandelions and Herb Robert are holding on through the winter. Tiny daffodil shoots are already pushing through.
Step 6: Ivy growing on the wall at the end. Flowers in November provide food for pollinators. The green berries will turn black.
