Step 1: The walk starts near Southall Station, served by the Elizabeth line. There are lots of buses too - the Park Ave stop is ideal. The walk ends near Hanwell which is connected by bus and rail. This continues our regents canal walks.
Step 2: Cross the road from the station & turn right. Beaconsfield Road is not signposted but easy to spot on the map. It’s a long, quiet residential road leading to the canal tow path away from the busy high street. Walk to the end.
Step 3: At the end there’s a primary school. Turn left for a foot path and follow the passageway around the school. This leads to the canal side.
Step 4: This is a view of the canal looking north and away from our route. It’s not as busy and felt safe but there’s some homeless camps opposite.
Step 5: This is the view of the canal to the south. It’s well paved with house building sites to the left and industrial buildings on the right.
Step 6: Heading past the building sites you’ll spot the road bridge and railway beyond. We also saw lots of coots and moorhens here.
