• 

  Step 1: The walk starts from a small roadside parking space at the entrance to the Coed Cadw woodland, on a lane 200m south of Bryn Bwbach

• 

  Step 2: This is an entry point to an ancient woodland, now managed by the Woodland Trust

• 

  Step 3: There is room for several cars, (but do leave room for traffic on the lane to still pass each other!)

• 

  Step 4: Follow the pathway parallel with the lane, through the woodlands

• 

  Step 5: Shortly you can branch to the right along a path which gradually ascends the hillside

• 

  Step 6: The pathway leads up to a gateway out into a pasture near the top of the ridge
