• Step 1: Welcome to this baaa-rilliant outdoor adventure around Heaton Park brought to you in partnership with TOG24 and Shaun the Sheep. This playful adventure is step-free on main tarmac paths. There are some gentle inclines.

• Step 2: Shaun the Sheep is on the loose and hiding somewhere on this trail. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for a hint on where you can find him. Ready to do the walk? Grab your boots, bring the flock, let’s go on a woolly wild adventure.

  Step 3: This walk starts at Victoria Avenue bus stop on Middleton Road. It's served by routes 59, 717, 740 and 741.

• 

  Step 4: Head through the gates to enter Heaton Park which we're exploring on our walk today. Notice the tram tracks here.

• 

  Step 5: There are plenty of benches here. We're going straight ahead on the main tarmac path.

• 

  Step 6: You'll soon reach the Heaton Park Tramway. In 2025 they were updating the restored tramway but the museum is open on selected dates.
