  Step 1: Enter Crumpsall Park via the Ashtree Road entrance. The gateway here is nice and wide.

• 

  Step 2: Walk straight ahead towards the monument. The path is wide and mostly smooth.

• 

  Step 3: Take time to look up at the imposimg and slightly threatening monument with its clockface on two sides. Don't rely on it for timekeeping!

• 

  Step 4: Turn left at the monument towards the fenced play areas. The surface here is a little knobblier for a short way.

• 

  Step 5: At the junction of paths by the play area, turn right on the slightly downhill path (not the path alongside the play area).

• 

  Step 6: This path is a little bumpy and dented in places.
