  Step 1: Scotney castle is a National Trust property that is steeped in history. The views down from the main house and car park are amazing.

• 

  Step 2: There are 780 acres here to enjoy. Walk east down to the old Scotney castle ruins.

• Step 3: You will pass the quarry gardens to your left. Visit them now or on your way back. A very interesting discovery was found here.

• 

  Step 4: Over two bridges and you'll come across this arch.

• 

  Step 5: Wisteria hysteria! Wisteria is very hardy and can grow in poor quality soil.

• 

  Step 6: Walk around the castle to discover the lake.
