Step 1: Up the stairs at Rye House station and turn right, as the sign says ππΌββοΈ. These steps are the only inaccessible part of the walk for wheels
Step 2: Cross the bridge over the River Lea navigation channel (carefully as there is no pavement) and take a quick detour to explore Rye House
Step 3: The remaining part of the house was part of a fortification built in 1443 by a Danish Lord.
Step 4: Follow this rather drab stretch towards the reserve - if you come in late summer you can feast on blackberries as you walk π
Step 5: Made it! Youβre greeted with pollination heaven. Loads of π and π¦ when we visited
Step 6: Head into the visitor centre and join the path on the other side. Grab a map if you need it and the padlock passcode if you have wheels
