  Step 1: Start on Derby Road outside Gatehouse Lodge the old entry to Wollaton Hall next to Jubilee Campus

• 

  Step 2: The university stands next to the gatehouse the modern design standing in stunning contrast.

• 

  Step 3: With your back to the gatehouse use the pedestrian crossing to cross the road.

• 

  Step 4: This is where we first pick up the River Leen. We're heading down Hillside to the right of this sign

• 

  Step 5: Hillside is part of cycle route 6 and is a fabulous green corridor running along the Leen which will appear on your left

• 

  Step 6: The River Leen flows through some of the most urban parts of the city and brings lush green plants, trees birds and wildlife with it.
