• Step 1: This circular walk starts at Derby Road at the Lenton Lodge Gatehouse and follows the route of the former Nottingham Canal as closely as possible through Nottingham University Jubilee Campus and part of Wollaton.

• Step 2: Discover what canal remains are still visible today. This route also explores Seaford Avenue Park, Wollaton Park and Sutton Passeys Playground located in Wollaton Park.

• 

  Step 3: From the Lenton Lodge Gatehouse on Derby Road take the shared path to the right of the Lodge.

• 

  Step 4: Continue straight ahead with the Nottingham University Campus on your right.

• 

  Step 5: The former route of the canal is on your right and some of the original canal flag stones can be seen in the University grounds.

• 

  Step 6: As the path emerges onto Charnock Avenue continue past the bollards.
