  Step 1: This walk starts at Reading Station on the Great Western Railway, served by regular trains & buses. Use the Vastern Road exit. Swipe up.

• Step 2: Please note that the Thames Path can flood in very wet or wintry weather. This route uses mostly flat tarmac surfaces.

• 

  Step 3: For step free access, use the downward ramp to the right and then follow the footway towards the big main road, Vastern Way.

• 

  Step 4: Cross over the side road, Trooper Potts Way.

• 

  Step 5: Continue over the crossing on Vastern Road and then turn right on the other side of the main road.

• 

  Step 6: Turn left down Norman Place. Keep to the left hand side of the road.
