Step 1: Start at the gates on Green Lanes.
Step 2: Opening time are: Mon to Fri 9-5, the last Sat of every month 10-2, they also aim to open on the second and last Sun of the month 11-2.

Step 4: Take any path that you fancy, they all wind through the wooded and grassy areas of the nature reserve.
Step 5: This old chimney attractively called Stench Pipe was built in 1892 by the New River Company, design to release fumes from the sewers below.
Step 6: At the north end you can peer over the fence and see the New River which runs from Hertfordshire, 20 miles down to Stoke Newington.
