• Step 1: No trip to Plymouth is complete without a jaunt around the Hoe Park. On this walk, we’ll show you a short, but challenging, loop to take in all the fantastic views on offer. Come along!

  Step 2: Our walk starts in front of the striking war memorial, just a ten-minute walk from city centre.

• 

  Step 3: Facing the monument, begin by heading right.

• 

  Step 4: You’ll pass a small tranquil garden on your right with monuments dedicated to peace.

• 

  Step 5: To your left, you’ll see the iconic Smeaton’s Tower, Plymouth’s famous lighthouse. We’ll get closer a bit later on in the walk.

• 

  Step 6: For now, continue straight until you reach the grand promenade.
