Step 1: Start the walk from the Barbican Wharves
Step 2: From here you can catch the ferry over to Mount Batten that you can see in the distance
Step 3: Head down on to the Barbican Landing stage. You can check the ferry times online or on the wooden board down here
Step 4: There is a regular ferry throughout the year and it is very reasonably priced.
