Perivale - Hanwell River Brent Walk

Walk preview

1. Step 1: We start near the Golf Course. Arrive via Perivale tube, across the A40, or by bus. We traveled from Ealing Broadway on the 297 bus. We exited at Perivale Lane bus stop & walked to the traffic lights to cross onto Perivale Lane.

2. 

   Step 2: Walk along Perivale Lane past Hanwell Town football club. It is a quiet road with pavements on the left only.

3. 

   Step 3: Continue & cross Old Church Lane. Opposite is this church gate. Cross the road to enter the footpath.

4. 

   Step 4: This is the Ancient Church of St Mary. Now an arts centre as it was cut off from its parish by the construction of the A40 in the 1970s.

5. 

   Step 5: Shortly after the church there is a bridge with views of the golf course either side. This is our first view of the River Brent.

6. 

   Step 6: At the junction take the right turn to follow the river. There are fences either side with views of the golf course.
