• Step 1: Exit Paddington station and take a left down Praed Street. Continue until the Post Office. Paddington Basin is the start of the walk. We visited a cafe here before starting. Alternatively arrive via Edgeware Road station.

• 

  Step 2: From Praed St enter the canal side area via the passage way next to Superdrug. The opposite bank was closed today so we started on the left.

• 

  Step 3: Cross over on the first bridge to the left side. Tow path closures will change over time. Take whichever bank is open and convenient.

• 

  Step 4: Continue along the canal and around the corner. We’re almost back near Paddington station.

• 

  Step 5: A canal side artwork. This is a modern and redeveloped area with some industrial older buildings.

• Step 6: On this side of the canal the bank ends. You can take the bridge earlier to the other side and then another bridge back. Otherwise continue and walk up the stairs, cross the road and walk around and back down to the canal.
