Step 1: Tree Trail around Nightingale Fields in Arborfield Green. Come and see the wonder of the trees and celebrate these magnificent plants!
Step 2: Start around the community centre with this White Willow which was cut down at some point and now the branches growing from the trunk forming a dwarf willow. It's hard to tell apart from a pile of cut branches. But look under the branches
Step 3: The trunk is approx 2.5 metres, the tree is more than a 100 years old. It had been planted around the end of the First World War.
Step 4: This Cyprus is also a great example and you can go under its branches :-)
Step 5: This Sycamore tree is a veteran, perhaps planted around that time as the willow.
Step 6: Look at the trunk near to the willow this is an Ash tree perhaps had been cut done because of the ash dieback disease. Around 100 years old.
