1. Step 1: This new coastal walk was brought to you in partnership with TOG24 and National Trails to celebrate the renaming of the King Charles III England Coast Path (KCIIIECP). Expect family-friendly fun, lovely beaches and vitamin sea!

2. Step 2: Welcome to this circular walk from Souter Lighthouse to Whitburn Point Nature Reserve.

3. 

   Step 3: There is a car park beside the lighthouse but local buses also come nearby including the C1 Sunderland - South Shields.

4. 

   Step 4: Head towards the bottom of the car park. Turn left taking the paved road by the lighthouse.

5. Step 5: Souter Lighthouse was opened in 1872 and was a marvel of its age. It was the first lighthouse in the world designed and built to be powered by electricity.

6. 

   Step 6: Now pass through both of the gates.
