  Step 1: You can start at any of the car parks near Blackpool Mill

• 

  Step 2: If it has rained recently you’ll need wellingtons or waterproof boots

• 

  Step 3: Possibly even a walking pole as banks can be slippery

• 

  Step 4: You can get Down to the river at some points

• 

  Step 5: There are some great wild plants and flowers all year

• 

  Step 6: The route isn’t circular but you can go back along the road if you prefer (or it’s too muddy)
