• 

  Step 1: The walk starts by the town hall along The Island. The bus stop opposite is served by routes 172, 173, 174, 184, 424 and 522.

• 

  Step 2: Head away from the High Street along The Island. Pop into the dog friendly coffee shop if you need some refreshments for your jaunt.

• 

  Step 3: Where the pavement ends by the White Hart, cross to use the pavement on the opposite side.

• 

  Step 4: Towards the end of the road there is no pavement so carefully make your way through the car parking area.

• 

  Step 5: Turn left by a black signpost towards St Chad's well.

• 

  Step 6: You'll emerge by the River Somer.
