  • Step 1: Welcome to Section 5 of the Lea Valley Walk. This walk follows the Lea Navigation towpath from Three Mills to Limehouse Basin.

  • Step 2: If you’re starting from Bromley-by-Bow station, turn left out of the station and at once go under the underpass. Go right to walk north, then turn right down Three Mill Lane.

  • If you are continuing this walk from section 4, continue ahead with the mill on your left.

    Step 3: If you are continuing this walk from section 4, continue ahead with the mill on your left.

  • Step 4: There was a mill here in Saxon times, in fact at one point in time four mills were here, driven by sea and river water which came up the Lea at high tide.

  • Follow the path between Lee Navigation  on your right and Bow Creek on your left.

    Step 5: Follow the path between Lee Navigation on your right and Bow Creek on your left.

  • Continue under a couple of bridges.
