Step 1: We start here, by the Liberty statue which originally stood on Leicester’s Liberty shoe factory for 70 years.
Step 2: 🗽 The 17ft statue, a replica of NYC’s Statue of Liberty, was removed when the building was demolished in 2003. It was placed in storage until 2008 when it was restored to this roundabout close to its original site.
Step 3: We cross over Western Blvd and walk along the canal. It’s peaceful and lots of beautiful swans and other birds swimming around.
