  Step 1: Begin this stage at Bramhall station (with limited step-free access) served by trains from Manchester and Stockport. Buses also stop nearby.

• Step 2: Please note that parts of this walk may be damp, muddy and slippery at any time of year and especially after periods of wet weather. Please bear this in mind when planning your trip.

• 

  Step 3: Follow the ramp and steps (if necessary) down from either platform and turn left along Bramhall Lane South.

• 

  Step 4: Cross the road via the push-button crossing.

• Step 5: Turn left for a short way.

• 

  Step 6: Now turn right onto the tarmac-surfaced Benja Fold, passing a pretty set of thatched cottages.
