Step 1: The Easter Rising rebellion in 1916 started with a gathering at Liberty Hall where we start our walk.
Step 2: James Connelly was the leader. From here battalions were sent to capture various strategic locations in the city. Go west along the Liffey
Step 3: Battallions were sent to capture the GPO, the four courts, St stephens green, Jacob's biscuit factory, Bowlands Mill and the South Dublin Union.
Step 4: Turn right when you reach O'Connell street - it's the wide road with the tall spire
Step 5: The GPO served as the headquarters of the rebels. There is a museum here but after you're done take the left down Henry Street afterthe GPO
Step 6: Padraig Pearse was in charge at the GPO and read the Proclamation of the Irish Republic. Several other nearby buildings were occupied by the rebels but it was here 5 days later that the rebels surrendered
