• 

  Step 1: Join the Coastal Path at the top of Shooter's Hill in Cowes at Tonino's restaurant.

• 

  Step 2: Follow the High Street down the hill, past the Costa coffee.

• 

  Step 3: There are dozens of wonderful independent coffee shops, restaurants, galleries and shops in Cowes to explore.

• 

  Step 4: Turn right on Watch House Lane, with the Union Pub, the oldest pub in Cowes, on tour left.

• 

  Step 5: Walk along the Parade, looking out for the Maritime Heritage Trail signs.

• 

  Step 6: At the Royal Yacht Squadron take the right split to keep to the water, passing a row of canons on your right.
