  Step 1: Your walk starts here at Heyford Station. Trains run to and from Banbury, Didcot Parkway and Oxford.

• 

  Step 2: The post code for the start of this walk is OX25 5PD. The 25 bus currently runs between Bicester and Lower Heyford (June 2023).

• Step 3: Stretches of the canal towpath are badly eroded so watch out for these as you go. Please read 'Best Ways to Walk' below.

• 

  Step 4: From Heyford Station car park cross the railway line using the footbridge.

• 

  Step 5: Turn left through a gap in stone wall to exit the platform.

• 

  Step 6: Then left again onto the Oxford Canal towpath
