Bracken Hall to Hirst Wood

Walk preview

1. Step 1: Starting at Bracken Hall Countryside Centre, walk towards the Old Glen House pub and take the path into the woods

2. 

   Step 2: Follow the path down the steps into the woods. Listen out for the bird song.

3. 

   Step 3: At the bottom of the steps, next to a fallen tree admire the view

4. 

   Step 4: Take the path that goes straight on towards the stream until you come to a pond with a dam. Look out for the kingfisher!

5. 

   Step 5: Take the path with the dam on your right and walk uphill along a cobbled path

6. 

   Step 6: Continue until you get to a kissing gate in a metal cage and turn left through this
