  Step 1: Birtle - Edenfield - Ashworth circular route. A 10 mile countryside walk. Plenty of ups and downs. Sturdy footwear needed.

  Step 2: Leave the pub car park and keep right passed the church, Birtle Church woods and across the road junction

• 

  Step 3: Continue ahead on this road without turning off. Most views are on the left and stretch across Bury and Bolton.

• 

  Step 4: There are quaint cottages on the left

• 

  Step 5: And Victoria Woods childhood home on the right ( although the original house has gone).

• 

  Step 6: When the farm Gate at the end comes into view, shortly after the golf course, this signals a turn off from the road.
