  Step 1: This walk starts at Beacon Hall on French Close. The nearest bus stop is Braysdown Lane served by the 172, 173, 174 and the 522 routes.

• 

  Step 2: With your back to the hall, turn right and then cross the road by the drop kerb to car park. Enter Beacon Field through the metal gate.

• 

  Step 3: There is a narrow tarmac path around the recreation ground.

• 

  Step 4: Turn right at the path junction past some gym equipment and a sports pitch.

• 

  Step 5: Follow the perimeter path past a bench.

• 

  Step 6: Head past the dog exercise play area and then follow the path as it curves to the left with the perimeter.
