• 

  Step 1: Start to the east of Linby village church. There’s a footpath to the side of the roundabout.

• 

  Step 2: Head down the footpath towards the Linby trail. This is part of the National Cycle Network (NCN) route six.

• 

  Step 3: Pass this sign and continue along NCN route six. This is an old pit railway line heading towards Newstead.

• 

  Step 4: Keep heading north under the bridge. Watch out for horses and cyclists!

• 

  Step 5: Turn right here to follow NCN route six towards Newstead Abbey.

• 

  Step 6: At the gatehouse, follow the driveway into the grounds of Newstead Abbey.
