• 

  Step 1: The walk starts from a permissive car park (with an honesty box), at the far end of a long narrow lane from the A496 past Cors y Gedol Hall

• 

  Step 2: From the car park, turn right and continue up the dry-stone walled bridle path, passing through occasional farm gates

• 

  Step 3: This is sheep country. You pass between several large pastures, and livestock are plentiful on the good grazing.

• 

  Step 4: This is a good firm track running far out across the moorland, going eventually right up to the reservoir at Llyn Bodlyn

• 

  Step 5: Please ensure that you close each of the gates as you pass though them

• 

  Step 6: You will pass a couple of eerie silhouettes of long abandoned upland barns
