• Step 1: Whether you’re at Uni in Chester or you’re visiting for a conference or event, there’s nothing quite as refreshing as a walk. To get you our for an hour or so, while learning a bit about the area, this walk is just for you!

• 

  Step 2: From the gardens in the Chester Uni grounds, we’ll start our walk by making our way down to the Shropshire Union Canal.

• Step 3: Walk towards Fisher House, down the stairs, then follow the path to your left. Head towards the Students Union and the playing fields. Follow the path keeping the field to your right until you get to the black gate.

• 

  Step 4: Follow the path to the gate, walk through and turn right.

• 

  Step 5: Walk down the road until you reach an opening by the bridge, this will take you onto the canal towpath.

• 

  Step 6: Head down the steps to the towpath below. This is a great place to do a bit of nature spotting too, both on the eater & in the trees.
