  Step 1: Starting from the car park using postcode NE42 6UP. Parking here is free and plenty of spaces.

• 

  Step 2: Walk past the play park heading towards the visitor centre and cafe.

• 

  Step 3: Walk down the path just before the visitor centre to the sign post and information board.

• 

  Step 4: Turn right, following the sign for Hagg Bank.

• 

  Step 5: Walk under the Ovingham Bridge and continue to follow the footpath. This is shared with cyclists and horse riders.

• 

  Step 6: Continue to follow the footpath alongside the river Tyne.
