  Step 1: This short stroll starts and ends at the Tyn y Groes car park just off the A470 near Ganllwyd. Plenty space, free, and has toilets

• 

  Step 2: Opposite the car park is a large open space with picnic tables, beside the river

• 

  Step 3: The riverside path leads downstream, into the woodlands, beyond the picnic tables

• 

  Step 4: There are several way-marked walks. The blue one is fully accessible. The yellow one is a more uneven and slightly longer variation on it.

• 

  Step 5: The walks are on good clear paths with good river views

• 

  Step 6: The fir trees are impressively tall
