  Step 1: From the car park, follow the path into the trees down to the wooden footbridge

• 

  Step 2: Cross the footbridge. The crystal clear water cascades down from the hills here, soon to join the Afon Mawddach down near Dolgellau

• 

  Step 3: Turn left after the bridge and follow the wide and even trail through the woodland

• 

  Step 4: The level path brings you to a viewing platform high above the Bridge of the Stag’s Leap, Pont yr Llam Ewig

• 

  Step 5: From here, various paths zigzag up shallow gradients through the lush forestry.

• 

  Step 6: The green-arrowed markers depict the main route
