Step 1: Old Sarum is a ancient medieval castle fort run by English Heritage. You can walk around the grounds outside for free & it’s dog-friendly.

Step 5: On your right past the shop you’ll see a small picnic area. Look out for interpretation boards throughout the grounds.
Step 6: As you wander around the fort you enjoy views over the Wiltshire plains whilst imaging what life used to be like in Old Sarum.
