Step 1: Salisbury, formerly New Sarum, is a medieval cathedral city. It is situated at the confluence of the Rivers Avon (East, or Hampshire, Avon) and Wiley. We will visit the Avon along this walk.
Step 2: You can reach the town centre via the train station or there is a short stay car park off Summerlock Approach. From here, turn right onto Fisherton Street.
Step 3: Feel free to wander the high street as you wish but for our walk, continue over the river towards Fisherton Mill.
Step 4: Look out for Botanic Folk a lovely plant shop on the right hand side.
Step 5: Fisherton Mill is one of the largest independent gallery’s in the south west. You can find a small courtyard inside.
Step 6: There’s a great dog-friendly cafe inside serving food all day. You can sit inside or outside.
